Spatial Interpolation Using Fuzzy Reasoning and Genetic Algorithms

چکیده
This paper demonstrates the use of dynamic fuzzy-reasoning-based function estimator (DFFE) to interpolate rainfall data in a case study in Switzerland. The functional parameters are also optimized by genetic algorithms (GA). The procedure operates on a series of overlapping partition surfaces around the study area based on expert knowledge and interpretive judgment. The procedure allows for spatial interpolation and extrapolation in a higher-dimensional space.

Spatial Interpolation Using Conservative Fuzzy Reasoning
Spatial interpolation is an important feature of a Geographic Information System, which is the procedure used to estimate values at unknown locations within the area covered by existing observations. In this paper, we propose a conservative spatial interpolation technique that incorporates the advantages of local interpolation, Euclidean interpolation, and conservative fuzzy reasoning. The main...

Nowadays, geospatial information systems (GIS) are widely used to solve different spatial problems based on various types of fundamental data: spatial, temporal, attribute and topological relations. Topological relations are the most important part of GIS which distinguish it from the other kinds of information technologies. One of the important mechanisms for representing topological relations...
متن کاملUniversal Triple I Method for Fuzzy Reasoning and Fuzzy Controller
As a generalization of the triple I method, the universal triple Imethod is investigated from the viewpoints of both fuzzy reasoningand fuzzy controller. The universal triple I principle is putforward, which improves the previous triple I principle. Then, unified form of universal triple I method is established based onthe (0,1)-implication or R-implication. Moreover, the reversibilityproperty o...
متن کاملTransformation-Based Fuzzy Rule Interpolation Using Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Sets
In support of reasoning with sparse rule bases, fuzzy rule interpolation (FRI) offers a helpful inference mechanism for deriving an approximate conclusion when a given observation has no overlap with any rule in the existing rule base. One of the recent and popular FRI approaches is the scale and move transformation-based rule interpolation, known as T-FRI in the literature. It supports both in...
متن کاملUncertain spatial reasoning of environmental risks in GIS using genetic learning algorithms.
Modeling the impact of air pollution is one of the most important approaches for managing damages to the ecosystem. This problem can be solved by sensing and modeling uncertain spatial behaviors, defining topological rules, and using inference and learning capabilities in a spatial reasoning system. Reasoning, which is the main component of such complex systems, requires that proper rules be de...
